Is it possible to reobtain root manually on 2.2 froyo through terminal emulator or some method that doesn't require me hooking it up to the computer? The droid 2 root method that was released through terminal emulator possible? I've tried it but I had errors. Anyone got somethin for me pleaseee haha love you forever!

this is what i used and it works fine youll need to put the files required on the root of your sdcard. also i unplug my phone when i do it. whenever i had it plugged in it would fail. not sure why but that was my finding. and one more thing when it tells you to jump out of term and go to settings just click the menu button and select close term. then reopen and it will force close then reopen again and you should have the # symbol. or at least thats what happens to me. trying to force close it through settings always cause my phone to freeze.

I did it might just be my phone for some reason it just didnt like being plugged in. You can always try plugging it in and see if it works for you.
