possible to save app through factory reset

i have a craigslist notification app that no longer is on the marketplace. im wondering if i can do my factory data reset and not loose it forever. not sure if there is an installer package i can copy off of my phone or anything.

its the best app ive ever had on my phone, and it kills me to loose it.

You can always use a backup app that doesn't require root such as App Monster or My backup. Good luck. :D

Aren't .apk files device specific?
If they are you will want one that you know is going to work for you: how about your own?
You can create .apk files of your own apps with a couple of apps. I use the Supermanager app because it is free and doesn't require root.

If you have root Titanium Backup is your friend.

i have it, but i havent really discovered its true capabilities. im always under the assumption that if doing a reset, you dont want to reinstall any settings and such that might have been the issue to begin with.

can titanium get me access to my apk files?
