Android Question

I have a galaxy s2 and yesterday I was navigated to a ad page. When I tried to exit, it gave me a dialog box that said whether I was sure I wanted to leave the page. I kept clicking leave the page and was able to exit. Could I possible have contracted a virus from clicking pop ups such as this? I did not download anything or was informed of having any bogus virus. In addition, I used Lookout to scan my phone and it doesn't seem like there is anything wrong with the apps I already had.

It is pretty unlikely, viruses on web pages (even if it was one) are generally designed for PC's, not for mobile devices at this time. You can always download a free AV app from the play store like AVG, Avast, or Lookout.

There are plenty of good AntiVirus applications on the Google Play store like AVG Free or Malwarebytes.

I would definitely say that most if not all of the applications that are on the Google Play store do not have Viruses in them and if you are solely downloading from that store then the odds of you having one are very slim.
