Ummm... Kaiser17, I'm afraid you're thinking about this all wrong. The ratio of free/used ram in android is not to be thought of as what happens when you use a computer. Their scheduling mechanisms are different. Android emphasizes efficiency, and therefore gives a lower importance to freeing ram, and more on persistence and responsiveness. Therefore, more memory is occupied for "potential use", kinda like cache on a computer (ok, devs will crucify me for the crude comparison, but I hope it drives the point home). Needless to say, trying to "optimize" an android based device by freeing more RAM is, at the very least, somewhat misguided.
