Didn't do much with it - wanted to enjoy NiteOwl's icons and my photos in hi res for the first time :) Minimalistic Text, SMS Unreadcount, Missed It!

Posted this in the Optimus forum already, but figured I'd post here as well. :D I'm almost done, just gotta tweak a few tiny things (font, mostly).

melissapugs - I really like your home page. I'm new to this and wondered what you used for your text and the missed calls, etc?

Thanks. That is Missed It! - here on the market, about a buck. The customization options aren't quite as varied as Minimalistic Text, but it can be styled with the basics: font, color, etc. Feel free to PM me if you need help setting it up.
Also: check out SMS unreadcount, free on the market - same reliability, but uses icons with 'bubbles' to display information. The numbers next to the icons on the homescreen are modded versions of that app. Some home launchers have notifications that are similar, though never turn out to be as reliable for me.
Have fun :)

I like your modded versions of sms unread count, any way you make them available to the talentless idiot that I am???

OK, the noob in me is really showing. Hope I'm not posting these questions in the wrong forum.

I have some photos recently taken at a family lake house in northern Michigan. I'd like to use one or some of them as my wallpaper and create something simplictically elegant in similar fashion to mellisaplugs.

1. Can I have a different wallpaper on each home page or must they be the same as they are now?

2. I d/l Go Launcher Ex. If I use one of their themes, can I use just their icons and not their background or wallpaper? I'm not even sure that I need this app for what I want to accomplish.

Sorry, this inquiry is probably clear as mud.

Thanks

We're a pretty friendly bunch over here :) Ask away if you ask me.
1. Yes, you can have a diff paper for each wall: though I have recently read that the app that I previously used to accomplish this - over here for free on the market - is a real memory hog. Vostradamus, one of the pro's over at XDA, recently indicated this app, which can do the same thing, or use panoramic wallpapers - I have yet to try it, but from his setups it looks quite promising and according to him is more friendly on the battery.
2. Yes - I liked GoLauncher's set of icons, though I left that for ADW Ex to get rid of the notification bar and dock area. You enable the theme, then use one of the above apps - or the stock wallpaper application method - to apply your wallpaper manually. To my knowledge - which is limited to only 5 home replacements - there is no launcher that has this functionality built in.

By the by: my above setup is homescreen on the right, lockscreen on the left - I use an app called widgetlocker to enable a customizable lockscreen versus the stock one. It is a paid app that is very much worth the expense imo.

Feel free to PM me if you need your wallpapers re-sized, edited, or you need help with any of the above. Have fun :)

Latest from my g-tablet since I got no love on my last 'bolt screen. Yes, that is honeycomb, and every single widget is MinimalisticText.

My X10 with some older tiles, I'd like to have a more clean modern look but I like the android phone 7 look.

Appreciate you taking the time to share. I d/l widgetlocker. Like it! Slowly, making some headway with how I want my lockscreen to look. If i understand correctly, on your lockscreen, you used Missed it (also d/l that one) and SMS unreadcount. Was Minimilastic Text also used on that screen or just the home screen?

Same widget on both :) Don't forget to check your grid layout on WL to match-ish your grid on the homescreen - I am using 6x10 on both, for example.
