Shamelessly stole the ripped paper idea from somebody else here. This is my current setup:

Lockscreen: SMS Unreadcount, Minimalistic Text, Analog Clock Collection, Phantom Music Control

Homescreen: Analog Clock Collection, Desktop Visualizer


Does anybody else get MASSIVE battery drain when using Desktop Visualizer? Like seriously, my phone's charge only lasts maaaaybe six hours these days. :(

Very nice! Love the fonts you picked ;)
DVR shouldn't be too big a strain - perhaps clear the data cache for the app? there are also settings (if you press the menu button inside the menu for adding a new widget) to lower the memory used settings :)
 
Some amazing desktops here guys! I'd like to post mine but I can't figure out how to take a screenshot. I've done it accidentally a couple times. I have a Telus Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate. Any help would be appreciated.

I think this should work on the Fascinate...

Press the power and back buttons at the same time. The screen shot should be saved to a folder called "screencapture" on your SD Card.

Edit: I was close, at least... For a better explanation, see Mada's post below ↓ (thanks Mada!).

Not quite correct.. The Fascinate does have an ability to take screen shots.

You LONG PRESS the BACK BUTTON FIRST before pressing the power button. After the long press, WHILE STILL HOLDING BACK, press the POWER button. I'm not sure why they made it confusing like this when just simply pressing the two buttons at the same time would've been easier.

Nope, it doesn't work. All it does is turn off the screen. I have Gingerbread 2.3.3.

Are you on stock, or an alternative ROM?
There are screen capture apps that can be had for free or small prices in the market - some will work only if you are rooted, others will work on unrooted devices - most of the paid apps offer a trial to let you see if they will work. I use Screenshot when I'm on CM7 ROM - I believe its still free. MIUI Roms usually have the feature to take screenshots built in. I'm assuming you are stock, so your phone's forum thread might have useful suggestions from other users.

Alternatively, most ROMs/phones will allow you to take screenshots using the Android SDK method - no root required - which requires some legwork to set up the SDK environment on your computer. Here is some detail on that. Please note that the Android SDK environment requires some computer know how; requires a lengthy download of the SDK and required Java plug-ins - and may not capture useful screenshots on some devices. I used it on stock on my phone, but it doesn't function on MIUI. Again, others with your device would know best.

I know that I will never use WidgetLocker because in the short time that I had it installed, it completwly obliterated my battery life, because of the fact it has to CONSTANTLY run, 24/7, in order to function, so I would have to guess that that, not dvr, is destroying your battery life.
