I suggest Nova launcher but if its not available on your phone then nemus launcher is a wonderful low recource use launcher. Very clean

we don't know what phone you have but if you have

2.3.x.x ginger bread I would suggest ADW Launcher
ADW.Launcher | AppBrain Android Market
(ADW will work on Android 1.6 "eclair" I think, and up) OR

if you are on 4.x.x Nova launcher
Nova Launcher | AppBrain Android Market
I think is the best most feature with the least amount of CPU hogging
