Post your Handcent / GO SMS / Chomp Message Settings!

I just downloaded Handcent and notice that there is hundreds of ways to customize this app! I was hoping to see some people's postings of how they have their messaging aps customzied so maybe I can find some settings I like!

Right now, mine is the stock handcent theme. It looks outdated and was hoping to see if their was a way to make it look 'fresh'

The only thing i did for mine was make my clan tartan the background image for Handcent.

But I am looking forward to seeing what others have done. I love to steal good ideas. lol

edit~ forgot to resize - my bad...see if this is less obnoxious.

edit again~ little better yeah. At first I was worried that a plaid design would be too busy for a background but it actually works out very nicely - I use the chat bubbles and they show up just fine with the tartan in the background reminding me of my roots and such.

Switched from Handcent to GOSMS recently. Really like it a lot more. I have been using the 2011 Night Theme they have for GO.

Also, now if someone can tell me how to turn off the extra notification from the stock messaging app lol ...I had no problems with that on my original moto droid - and I thought I told this DX to let Handcent manage all texting but I guess I didn't so I get the double droid and can't for the life of me remember where to fix it.

I have the Nexus S and I have tried them all the one that works without any bugs and the smoothest is gosms. I also use there launcher good stuff

When I turned off the notifications within the stock texting app, it stopped notifying me.

I use the android conversation style with different incoming background colors. It's clean and simple.

Just for me at least, but it just looks 'outdated' even with updating color schemes. I like the look of GoSMS from that pic, I may give it a shot.
