Aahh, the ol' DVI-I cable for a DVI-D monitor.
I believe you right, but since they made the mistake and I can wait, they're doing the fix too.

Geez jef, I'm sorry (that I laughed when I read that ). Sure, the vga cable should work, but if you are using a high resolution monitor with 36 bit color depth, you could run into some performance issues. vga just doesn't have the throughput for that. FWIW, the DVI-D cable is just set to carry the digital component of the video signal while the DVI-I carries both digital and analog, so if you have an older monitor, you can use an analog adapter on a DVI-I cable. But if your video adapter is only digital you have a DVI-D connector on the card/motherboard and a DVI-I cable won;t fit because of the extra (analog) pins. A DVI-D cable will fit a DVI-I connector but only carry the digital portion of the signal.
Don't get me started on DisplayPort vs. HDMI.
How much work was replacing the burn pot? Not that I need to yet, but I'm curious as it seems like one of only a few failure points for the Traeger.
For me, $210 for a new key for my truck.
Bought this beauty recently - well, I say I bought, actually more bought for me by my employer, though it was ordered on my credit card:
Dell XPS 15 9550
4K touchscreen
iCore7
32GB RAM
1TB SSD
nVidia GEForce GT 960M
Quite an awesome - and remarkably pretty, for a Dell - beast. Even has a type C USB so I can fast charge my Nexus 5X

Bloody hell that is smoking!
What do you do at work?.
uh, that is, until I realized that the debit charge was going to equal my last SS bank deposit
No pics (but I promise it happened). Took my wife and good friend Chris out to the movies Sunday morning. We went and saw Star Trek Beyond, it was actually quite wonderful. If you like Star Trek and have been on the fence about the new movies, you'll love this one. It's much more "Treky" than the other 2. Great action (but not overload and not just for the sake of action) and great heart. Lots more character moments here much more of a crew/family feel than the past 2 and though I have always loved the casting with these new Trek movies, I think the main cast really came into their own here, really channeling the original cast. Pine did a much better job with Kirk. Bones, Spock and Scotty all had real character moments and sadly, Anton did wonderfully with Chekov hard to see him go. Really an amazing movie.
Saw it in iMax 3D (and even got a Star Fleet pin, in case just going to the movie wasn't enough to guarantee we get beat up afterwards )
Be careful. Next you'll be turning up to Trek conventions, dressed in a replica uniform and Vulcan style haircut.
