It's the moving that always worries me lol. Hey good luck with all of that. It will be worth it... Nice new digs and all... Congrats.

In this case, I've spent years years parsing my inventory in anticipation of this event, but I wasn't expecting to move sixty miles away. New doctors, new stores, God knows what else.

Well I took the plunge. I mean for $400 bucks I couldn't say no. Brand new never activated Pixel 128GB. (As an aside FYI - I activated it on Fi and once it came up there was no signs of Verizon anywhere on the phone. I'd read as much but it's true) Also the set up took less than 30 min to download my settings and apps. Only used about 2% battery. He even included an incipio case for it. Personally not a fan so I will be doing some Amazon shopping today. :D I'll post my thoughts to the Pixel board as I learn the phone.

My last purchase was taking our Shih-Tzu/Papillion mix Isabella (who is allergic to just about EVERYTHING and itches constantly) to Chattanooga today for an exhaustive allergy battery. She was sedated, had a pop-tart sized area shaved, and had 60 dots drawn on her in equally spaced rows and columns. Then, they injected her with 60 different environmental allergens to see what she reacted to. Out of the 60, she reacted to about 30 of them.

So we go back in two weeks to pick up a large vial of customized medication, mixed to Izzy's specific allergies, so that we can give her regular scheduled injections to try and make her more comfortable.

The bill for today's sedation, testing and a 6-month supply of medication & syringes was $600. And that's just ONE appointment, for ONE of our three doggies.

At least the little money pit is cute...

She is a cutie Chief! We have two Shih-Tzu living with us now. We raised another previous to these two. The girls were allergic to something and the lone male was not. We did not follow your path and find a solution.. I commend you for that. Our vet suggested we give them half of a Benedryl tablet daily. So we took that action for most of their adult lives. I don't know if it's a Shih-Tzu problem or what but I think many are allergic to things and scratch themselves as a result. Poor things.

Thanks Olbriar... yeah, she's the Adorable One here. Lucy the Shih Tzu / Poodle mix is cute... but behind those enchanting eyes, she's plotting global domination or something. She's EVIL! But I think she's having neurological issues, and the specialists are reviewing test results to determine what's next.

Izzy gets an antihistamine in the morning with her anti-yeast pill and another antihistamine at night. She's also on some sort of peanut butter flavored liquid concoction until her allergen medication is ready.

Then there's our oldest dog, Angel. She's a Jack Russell Terrorist mix... mixed with what, I don't know. Maybe Border Collie, since she likes to nip at heels to herd people in the right direction. She's 11 now, and in terrible pain from compressed discs in her lower spine and a lot of inflammation in her left hip. She's on three pain meds and they don't help... the vet said there's a brand new medication out that may help her, but it's already sold out. The rep, though, has a personal stash that he's getting for Angel. My heart breaks for her - if she weren't such a loving and gentle dog, I'd probably have euthanized her by now to get her out of this mess. But she's such a great member of the family, and has so much life in her otherwise, we can't bring ourselves to consider it until we've exhausted every resource.

Our son and his wife just today adopted a Jack Russel/Australian Sheppard mix that was turned over to rescue when the family had to move away suddenly. He's the sweetest thing and just so super tolerant of my 2 year old grandson, but for some reason he's terrified of other dogs. I think it's some form of separation anxiety because from what we were told the family that owned him had other animals and there never was a problem. Unless something happened at the rescue organization, I can't figure it out ... and he's not talking. ;)

You gotta love them and worry about them. Such unquestioned loyalty and love in return. I even get attached to the doggies that live at some of the lawns I mow. They love me too. :) They insist on being let out to see me and we share some love. Dogs are wonderful.

Well I have a new phone that needs USB-C cables, I was not fond of the Incipio case it came with (I am keeping it for those times I might prefer bullet proof protection, just not a daily driver) and I needed new corded headphones. So I submit to you my weekend shopping.
