Need to replace an old, slow, EOL Iomega NAS enclosure for my home network so I'm going to take a chance on this Synology DS218 and put in a pair of 4 TB WD reds in a RAID1 array.

I think that whomever made that stereo with all those features and no BT should be slapped with a trout.

Agreed.
Look I LOVE this Jeep but whoever ordered it from the factory was an idiot. It's a Limited, it SHOULD have BT and remote start, both were omitted. So it HAS the navigation stereo that includes the (option - button) for BT but the BT receiver was not installed. (On a side note Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler can kiss mah butt for even having a stereo that has to have a unit installed separately for a button on the stereo face to work - but that's another diatribe) ...

ANYWAY, so it works now and I'll install the dern remote start myself.:mad::oops::thinking:

Are you sure they were never installed? My son bought a pre-owned Mazda 6 with what looks like a premium head unit and sound package, but we found after he took delivery that even though there are buttons on the steering wheel for hands-free calls, there was no BT receiver. So, we popped the dash to look and found the wiring harness taped up rather unprofessionally and think the dealer pulled it for parts. Of course we couldn't prove anything, and BT was never specified in the sales agreement, but it's a car dealer whose ethics reside somewhere between lawyers and politicians.

Yea I had a Jeep dealer (not where I purchased it) do a VIN search for me and the remote start was ordered as "removed" - it's included in the Limited package, and the head unit must have the Sound Group package added to get the Boston Acoustics speakers and BT. That package was not ordered. I also got a copy of the original window sticker. Now they DID add the tow package and HID lights and the larger gas tank ... so there's that.

My cheap 2014 Ram truck radio has BT... to apple only. Now that is truly an insult. I can USB into it.. but as you say.. the wires are a hassle.

Along those lines... my recent purchase... I resubscribed to SiriusXM today as well as their streaming services. We'll see how long I last this time. :)
