At least I can sit on it without slowly sinking to the floor and there is some cushion to sit on and some lumbar support. That's not a bad radio. I've had a few Yaesu's in the past, an 8900 and a couple of 8800's. The main difference is that the 8xxx models were dual-receive so you could have simultaneous reception on two frequencies on either the same or mixed bands. The 7xxx is single-receive so only one at a time. It only matters if you have a need to monitor two channels. Nowadays my mobile and base radios are Icoms.I just bought a Yaesu FT-7800R mobile VHF/UHF transceiver from the daughter of a silent key (ham radio operator who passed away). It's an emotional transaction for her, because this was the last of the ham radio gear of his to sell. I assured her that I would give it the honor and dignity it deserves and be a worthy successor of his vehicle's radio. All I need now is a good antenna for my Explorer.
Just be careful with the ends, they pop off way too easy. If you get any drag pulling from the end, let go and untangle whatever it is hung up on.I ordered a couple of new garden hoses today. I mow for a guy that has these hoses and I've had to roll them up to mow and put them back out in the yard when I'm done a couple of times. I admired how easy they were to move around and not kink or tangle. I asked and was informed he bought them on Amazon so I now have a couple hoses arriving tomorrow.

Appreciate the advice. They are a new design to me and found they were priced in line with the hoses that I tossed. Thought I'd give them a try but I'd be miffed if I pulled an end off.Just be careful with the ends, they pop off way too easy.
