Was it a Wankel I assume?
I had an '86 626 Turbo (not a rotary).
That thing would haul some serious ass especially going from like 60 to 100. Got a little shaky much faster than that.:eek:
 
No prob. I was getting a headache too. If it takes a Ford guy with a German surname to set the record straight about the one company to really give the Wankel rotary engine it's due, so be it. ;)

yea, we put a 13b gsl motor in it. then i got tired of smelling like gas so i sold it. as the new owner was driving it home. it caught fire. totaled.:rolleyes:

Well I'm an old retired CAR GUY... My current personal daily driver is a 100,000 + mile 2001 Chevy Ventura Mini Van... and a 2003 Dodge pick up to use to just plain haul stuff)...BUT in my garages I have 6 Corvettes... 64 72 and 98 convertibles and 76 79 and a 88 35th Anni. Special Edition Coupes... all but the 88 are standard sticks ..

Corvettes are one of the few American cars that are classics even to us Brits*

So .. Wow!



* the only others that come to mind are the Model T and the 60's Batmobile :D
