Frustration City here.

I have been playing with computers since 1971 and I do reasonably well, but now I feel like a full-fledged idiot.

I was gifted with the above tablet and the instructions help, but very little. I don't believe ths manual was written by someone who had English as their first language.

I have some questions and would really appreciate help.

I am much more visual than oral and so I would appreciate any responses be done in the "Android for Idiots" format; Baby steps one by one, and in plain language.

First question is: I have a USB port (actually 2 of them). I also have an external USB hard drive. I have some movies on the HD. I plug the HD into one of the USB ports but it doesn't show up anything. Will the 1050s support the HD?

Next: This isn't really important, but I tried to d/l Skype at the address I got from Skype, but nothing happened. I touch the "Download" bar and it says it is downloading, but nothing happens, and after 2-3 minutes, the tablet turns off.

I set up one email account and it shows up on the main screen. Can I set up another email account so I can go to it from the main screen and if so - - how?

Finally, what is the Device/Host switch and what does it do?

I'm sure there will be more, but for now, hopefully I can/will be pointed in the right direction.

I searched for a sub forum where your questions might find answers but found we lacked a device specific area for your device. The clever people here will likely have some input for you. Best of luck and thanks for using these forums.
