Potential dealbreaker

Currently on iPhone 3GS and am planning a switch to an Android phone. I'm down to the Atrix and Infuse. Anyway, my wife has a Droid (original one) from work and she said that, when forced (by her employer) to change her password to the linked Google apps account, it would require her to reset to factory defaults in order to change it on the phone. Is this the case with the Atrix?

To me, this screams design flaw/bug. However, since my employer also requires password changes every 3-4 months, I think this could be a deal-breaker for me.

Also, if anyone has experience with both phones, impressions would be welcome.

No, that is not true. If you want to change the Google account that is the main sync for the phone, then yes, it requires a factory reset, however if all that is changing is the password, then when you change it, the next time you sync your phone you'll be prompted for the new one. You may need to enter it in several places (market, gmail, etc.) but you don't have to reset just to change a password.

When I changed my google account password, my atrix kept telling me the password was incorrect but I couldn't find any way to change the password stored on the phone or re-type it. I thought I was gonna have to do a factory reset, then I figured it out: pull the sim card and boot it up.
