Power button soft?

I'm coming from a iPhone and the power button on the nexus seems really soft. Is it just mine or is it normal?

Normal. Compared to the IP the GNex power button is shallower and softer (and plastickier). You should definitely feel the button/mechanism when you press it, but it's purely tactile and not audible at all. When you "thumb" the button it will feel squishy, but if you press down with it, say with the top of your finger you can definitely feel the mechanism working.

Sorry for the lengthy response, I'm pretty OCD when it comes to gadgets :(

I agree.

My button is softer with thumb but more "clicky" feeling with forefinger. Funny how I noticed the same thing....I guess I and OCD about this stuff too! ;)

On second thought, I wonder if there is a functional reason for this (ie. harder to accidentally actuate). While I don't see an obvious reason, it's definitely a different feel than the rocker. Also, if anyone actually has a power button as clicky as the volume rocker, and without slop, I'd be interested in hearing your experience.

I do wish it felt just like the volume button without the looseness to that button. The power button doesn't wriggle but it's softer.
