Power Button

The power button on my HTC Droid is broken and I cannot turn off my phone. My battery died before I can get it charged and now that it is charged I cannot turn on my phone. Are there any other ways to turn the phone on outside of the power button? The model is ADR6330
 
I think that on some phones if you pull the battery, and then plug it in before replacing the battery, it MAY start...or I might be all wet...
