I have asked a similar question in the Galaxy S2 forum but this is a more general question.
On my previous phone, HTC Desire, among the most commonly used widgets were Power Control and G3 on/off - Desire had a separate widget for that.
I understand that Launcher Pro has(d) Power Control six button (included the 3G on/off) over the standard five button Power Control; trying to get it under Gingerbread.
Why do Google engineers, and the various ISPs, not consider that turning on/off these basic functions should be standard on "Smartphones"; rather dumb?
Anyway has anyone any success with getting Power Control (5 or 6 button) on non-rooted Gingerbread and/or Ice Cream Sandwich? If so how?
