Power failure during firmware update... Help!!

During a firmware upgrade from 3.2 to 4.04 using odin, there was a power failure in my building. My 8.9 tab was left with the message to run firmware recovery from Kies. I tries that option but the emergency recovery option is not listed because I was not using kies to upgrade. I shut sown holding the power key and tried to reboot but now there is nothing. Even holding down the power and volume down does not power up the tablet. What can I do to power up and reload firmware?

Two choices. A Samsung Dongle (you can buy them on eBay for a couple of bucks) will put the tab in the download mode. From there, there are ways of using Odin to reflash the tab.

Or you can find a Best Buy that has a Samsung desk. The people there can reflash it for you.

In the future, when flashing a cellphone, either use a laptop with a fully charged battery or a UPS that can hold up for at least an hour with one computer running on it.
