PowerSaveMode.apk !?

Out of curiosity. This little 4.5 MB application tends to service what on our phones? I have yet to see this little sucker run even one single time. If no one can point out any significance as to what this apk does for our benefit. I'm deleting this sucker.

In order to utilize power saving mode, you would have to turn it on.

We have no way to activate it on MPCS 4.4.4. That is why I was asking.

OK. Since I deleted the powersavemode.apk I have been getting way way different battery usage statistics.

I'm going to continue the day without that apk and report final usage levels before I start recharging. Then I will reapply the power save apk back into the system and test it again tomorrow.

i know how to get the power saving app to work where you can open the app

It would be nice to know how to make use of it. If it even has anything beneficial to it.

get an app, activity launcher.
or use zooper and make a shortcut to it (not sure, havent tried but should work?)

it's a good little utility if you need a PHONE and not a pocket computer.

options provided:
disable all background data. period.

reduce the screen refresh rate. makes games depending solely on timing unwinnable.

theres more, that's all I've used.

can get over three days on one charge. not terribly fun tho.
