My phone crashes when I try to run gingerbread on my phone. I have upgraded it from the official version (SE2.1) to gingerbread V2.3 using the guide notes on this forum. The new software installs properly but when I reboot the phone, it crashes i.e will not go past the gingerbread symbol!
I have tired touching the symbol and pushing all of the buttons but nothing works! I cannot even power off the phone using the on/off button. Luckily I was able to restore to the original software by taking out the battery to reboot the phone and use Xrecovery.
What has gone wrong? I have tried installing different versions of roms and the same thing happens each time.
This is my first post on this forum. I have read over the guides a number of time but cannot find the answer.
