Pre contacts to EVO..

Best way to do it? setting up a google account? besides that, I been trying to get one activated, making me send a text to my phone and it dont work. Anyone try the Missing Sync app?

sprint and BB will be able to do it on or soon after June 4th...also if you look under my threads i just created on on this and there is a way to do it with preware

Do you have Preware installed? If so:

[Patch] Send All Contacts Via Email - PreCentral Forums

If you don't, you have to link all of your profiles to a Google profile.

OR

Enter them all automatically into your Gmail > Contacts

what are you talkin about sending a text to the phone?? your not doing it right.

Go into your contacts then preferences, add a new account, and enter your gmail one, then sync. its not hard at all, you should prolly learn how to use your phone.

Android Newbie here with a question. Will the contacts from facebook sync with the phone like it does on the Pre or will I have to have them transfered? Also, is there a way to sync those contacts into google from your Pre?

If the Pre has a way to sync all your contacts with your Google Account, do that.

Blackberry's have an option to sync contacts with Google so anytime I switch to an Android device or a BB device, all my contacts get synced. Very convenient.

but the pre will not put all of your OLD contacts up to google account. only new contacts. i just went through this. there is a thread with almost the exact same title started a couple days ago. the only way to do this is with preware.

You are so right about the Preware Send Contacts via Email patch. It worked just like a champ. I will miss my Pre and what the developer community has done for that OS.
