Motorola have proven before now that when you release a phone 6 months later this side of the pond it does not sell, so this would seem incredibly stupid. If true I can only assume that they think that we don't use the pen over here (and so the S6 Edge Plus will suffice), but to my mind that's the one thing that distinguishes the Note from the many other phablets.

But I'm hoping this is just some ill-informed reps speaking out of turn...

Taking a big wait & see for a few reasons:

Root/ROM/unlocking & removal of Knox & Cheetah Mobile Spyware is a must.
Battery life has to be good,I'll wait for reports,ditto w/RAM management.
Wait & see if a 128 GB version will roll around.

On the plus side:

Looks a bit slimmer than the NOTE4 (a la HTC devices),probably has a nice feel-in-hand.
Quick wireless charging is a big plus.

The BestBuy in my area typically has the early demos,will check it out tomorrow...........

No mention of it on the EE, Vodafone or Three site. Carphone Warehouse has the S6 Edge+.

No, nor the German one (which I used as a cross-check). Whereas the S6 Edge Plus is on both.

Not a good sign.

Edit: This morning the UK press are reporting that the Note5 will be launching initially in the US and Asia, so looks like the reports were accurate.

Will the Edge+ not include Samsung Pay? And if Samsung Pay isn't available here, so what? It's not as if Apple held off the iPhone 6 because their service wasn't available in most of the world.

Anyway, whatever the reason I think it's very silly of Samsung.
