Well,

I just cancelled a pre-order for the Sony s for the Htc one x (polar white)

Everybody will have an opinion on the phone but what I have seen I like it!

I've not pre ordered, but I have registered my interest with Orange both instore and online so they'll let me know as soon as they have them available.

I know April 6th is being mooted as a release date, but we'll have to see how long it take Orange to get their finger out. It's on their website so I hope it won't be long.

i just wonder if the carriers are adding all their bloatware onto the 'one' series. i was fortunate that the 1st 2 batches of DHD's with Orange UK were standard ROMs and not T'Orange poop ridden ones that came after....just wonder if these will be the same...hmmmm.....

Being in a similar position to yourself, my DHD was unbranded. I'm hoping that given the phone is on the Orange website now, it must mean release is imminent meaning they'll do a similar thing and the first batches will be unbranded, just so they can get it out.

Yeah, I know! I'm contract free so buying outright and getting Giffgaff will probably be cheaper than a contract.

They've trimmed it down massively by all accounts. They admitted it got a little over bloated: HTC Admits Sense UI Became Too Bloated – Takes Things Down A Notch With Sense 4

Of all the overlays, Sense is still the best. I still prefer AOSP though.

I was half-joking really. On my Desire the Sense UI did cause noticeable lag at times, which on a better specced phone it shouldn't.

It's a common complaint about Sense, but you don't know how good it is until you try Touchwiz/Blur.

I think the HTC guys have done a good job with making sense different.

and anyways, having a carrier ROM just means it gets updated much much later than standard WW releases.
