Preorder at Wirefly for $150

Well I hope this is legit. I just called them and ordered two phones... :o Can anyone confirm the "legit-ness"?

Very Legit, this is one of the best places to buy phones online.

Thanks. Good to know. It was only wondering becuase it's technically a different website.

Anyhow I think it's much easier to order on the phone becuase I didn't want to select another plan. I wanted everything to stay the same.

Also, a word to the wise. They try and sneek in screen protectors, car mount, and insurance. Make sure at the very end that you are just paying for the phone and shipping (2-day if you select).

Lastly, it sounds like the phones could ship as soon as they receive them, but worse case mine would be here Monday or Tuesday of the next week. Oh well...I will go to the Sprint store and play with the phone on release day. :D

I'm willing to pay more to have it the morning of launch day, I am using an old phone and losing my mind.

I thought so too until I saw $70 more in my pocket for waiting 3 days or so. I'm decided to suck it up and wait. PLUS!!! It sounded like they would ship as soon as they arrive (and not wait until the 16th). If anyone else could confirm this, that would be fantastic! My customer service guy said it would, but you never know. I do know that the phones will be received at the stores 2-4 days before the 16th.

If your a gold or silver customer, then I'm pretty sure we get a 3 to 4 day early notice on adopting this thing. That's how it usually goes. While others may wait until launch to get their hands on it.

It would be nice to have a pre-order from Sprint for customers who aren't in that status so they can just come pick it up but...

We dont usually ship until the day of launch. If you want to PM me your order number, I am happy to review your order and see what we can do to ship it as soon as we are able.

The rep who took my order told me that the phone would ship (order would be processed) when your warehouse receives the phones. Wanting to confirm this, I just had a "instant chat" with another one of your reps. Again she said the order would be processed as soon as you receive the phones. In other words, if phones are received on Sept 13th, my phone would most likely ship 24-hours later, on the 14th. I paid for 2-day shipping, so technically I would have my phone ON the 16th of Sept. Make sense? Both customer services reps confirmed this, unless they are wrong?

Meh.. My order was cancelled today. I'm not eligible until next month. :-/

Call Sprint customer service. They often move your upgrade date up for you. Just be nice and persistent, but it might also help to have a specific complaint (your old phone is crap, your service has really sucked, your dog has fleas, etc.).

Then re-order.

Haha! I will call. Thanks!:)

Does anyone know if I order this phone through Wirefly for my wife's line will I be able to switch it to my line after i activate it first on hers? Their website says that if you change the device to another account they will charge your card for the instant savings discount ($200). But moving between two lines on the same account shouldn't be considered moving the device to another account, right? Anyone have any experience with wirefly on this?

Thanks!

Not that it's a big deal but it would be nice to save $50 only if I get the phone on the 16th from Wirefly. I'm reading the post above that say it ships on launch day. That's a little weird because if the phone comes out that day, then stores should have it a couple days before. That's how people actually buy things on the day of. It would be nice to have it shipped a day before so you can get it on launch day.

YES, I agree! I had two customer service reps tell me it would ship when they receive the phone, and another saying it ships on the 16th. It's a little frustrating, but the discount is worth it.

There is no penalty in switching phones between lines on the same account. The only thing Sprint (or for that matter Wirefly, because they don't get their commission) is concerned about is losing you as a bill-paying customer. So long as you continue to send them money, they don't care what you do with the phone once you own it.

I'm sure it is worth it. Also, I agree to the frustrating part. If I do decide to go the WireFly route, and anything happens to the phone can or does my protection plan cover that from Sprint?

Sorry to say this, but the carrier will usually report that to us as a deactivation. They will not allow us to process those orders. We wish we could, trust me. :(

The carrier will not allow us to ship the phone prior to the release date. I have confirmed this with our distribution center manager. I am sorry for the confusion, and I will be sure to make sure that our agents are all coached appropriately.

Yes, your Sprint Total Equipment Protection operates no matter where you buy your phone. Even eBay.

I heard different, if you buy at Wirefly you cannot purchase insurance from Sprint. See it at the bottom of this discussion: Epic 4G Touch @ Best Buy and Radio Shack

No way, that's not right. You can purchase the sprint insurance. It's the same thing as buying the phone from best buy or radio shack, which I've done before. Both times I just call sprint and they add it. Just call sprint right now and ask them...

Well guys, I'm all set with the help from the member "wirefly". There was a little question that came up, but they took care of it quickly. All in all I was very impressed with the customer service from Wirefly. Now I just wait for the 16th! I bought two so that's a huge chunk of change I saved; totally worth the wait over the weekend as I mentioned before.
