The VR actually sounds pretty amazing. 100+ sensors...wow...Hand tracking?

Thats all folks, no max mentioned...hmm
Maybe, maybe not. Either way it doesn't matter because they're HTC, not Apple. This was a really crappy and awkward announcement. If HTC was Apple - the M9 would now be the top story in the world - and how much better than the M8 is is - revolutionary, in fact, just like all the "Next Generation" products.
Maybe the One Max sales fell flat a few years back. Maybe they aren't financially in a position for anything to fall flat again especially after investing in their virtual junk.Maybe, maybe not. Either way it doesn't matter because they're HTC, not Apple. This was a really crappy and awkward announcement.
M9 is pretty much the same as the last 2
VR was lackluster. On top of that, it's planned for release at the end of the year. Why on earth would you announce that now? They couldn't even demo most of the features they talked about.
Fitness band was actually a good move.
WHY WOULD YOU NOT MAKE A PHABLET??!
I live in the real world with great looking women and I fly jets. I don't need a virtual world. If people take to virtual reality we are done as a society. I wish FB and Twitter would die. Killing the English language and people cannot write a complete sentence anymore. The VR actually sounds pretty amazing. 100+ sensors...wow...Hand tracking?
I am hoping I can grab one on the 15th. Since no GPE announcement I am going to just grab a Sprint unlocked version. Want to take it on my trip to Aruba in a few weeks. Really see what the camera can do!
I am sure they are making a Max, probably just want to hold off and announce after Samsung so they can take a bite out of their business.
In the military we use simulators. It's just like VR. Nothing new there at all. Hell, Microsoft flight simulator got it pretty darn accurate and you can use their gaming simulator to fly real routes that exist in anticipation of a checkride.I travel all over the world on a regular basis and still love the idea of VR. There are so many applications for it. I was in Vegas for CES and got to play with Oculus Rift, and I gotta say you can't understand VR until you try something on that scale.
-Remote surgery
-Immersive experiences in places most people can't afford to go
-Training scenarios both for civilian and Military purposes
-Gaming
-Remote assistance for troubleshooting
-Future tech with micro cameras that will allow you to visit places we can't go (inside the body, etc)
-Better remote weapon systems.
There are so many possibilities. The training scenario with Oculus I got to use was amazing. Full body suit, shoes, and a small mid waist "cage" (for lack of a better term) that allows you to have full motion control in the environment without a controller. You can run, walk, jump and the cage keeps you in place.
Tlicious1020-
He wasn't using a final build on the M9, so take it with a grain of salt.
C-130s....MC-12s....now the ultimate Virtual Reality....predators.A little off topic - What do you Fly? I was in the Navy and worked on FA-18's as an AT.
