Sounds like Trump thinks he's still on The Apprentice. :)

Fixing America is exactly why he was elected – let's give him a chance.

I have a couple genuine question which I'd like to ask., without any snark or cynical motivation. If Jeff would be kind enough to answer (and there is zero obligation on his part to do so) could people please not attack him for his answer.. I really want to know what he thinks.

Ok... How long do you think we should give him, before we can see if he is on the level?

As someone who voted for him (as is your unquestionable democratic right... ) where is the line in the sand, or the point where (of he did it) you would say he's failed as a president or gone too far?

I'm interested in how the little Trump/Putin love-in develops. Wonder when the honeymoon will be over. How will Trump deal with the Syria situation?

At the beginning of this year, the the last two two things I could have or would have predicted are the Cubs winning the World Series and Donald J Trump winning the presidency... 2017 is going to be a very unusual year and I look forward to it.

I know you did not ask me for my opinion... no one does :(
but I will give it anyways... :p

you asked .. How Long before.. but it has already happened for me.

before the election...there were so many points that ..
crossed the line .. jumped the shark.. popped the bubble... killed the dream...

but if I was to pick a point of no return..
the 3 debates between .. Hilary vs drumpf
showed me... he is NOT right for this very important job.
1. big ass child
2. cant control himself
3. cant focus
4. cant stay on point
5. don't understand any important subject past 3rd grade level
6. has NO plan for any issue... only slogans
7. does not believe in climate change problem

so .. out of the gate... he will be digging out of a deep hole.. for to me to give him credit.

.

Ok.. just so you don't feel unloved... Thanks for your opinion....
I think you could take a guess that its very similar to mine, and thats the reason I asked Jeff. As I honestly don't know what the opinion of someone who voted for Mr Trump is... Clearly its different to mine, and finding out about something I don't know (from someone who is able to articulate it) is always a good thing. As I said, Jeff has the complete right to answer or not as he see's fit (or ignore this all together)...

so what does that mean?

you are OK .. with cutting up the USA?
getting rid of all they areas of non-drumpf supporters?

you may not notice this.... those areas..
are the biggest cities..
concentrations of the more educated ..
higher middle class earners..

When I first saw the picture, I thought it what would happen when sea levels rise due to scrapping environmental laws... Actually it still could be....

If you link to the New York Times article, you'll see there is also an alternate version showing the Clinton vote

Beneath the beauty of Yellowstone

Amidst the stunning wilderness of America's most famous National Park, steam and hot water bubble and hiss from thousands of colourful, mineral-encrusted springs and vents. Together with its wildlife and spectacular scenery, these geothermal phenomena make Yellowstone one of the most incredible places on the planet. But America's most popular tourist attraction is also a time-bomb that could spell disaster for us all.

The hot springs, geysers and bubbling mud pools are all outward manifestations of a huge body of magma residing not far beneath the surface. The land around Yellowstone regularly swells and subsides - each breath raising the ground level by up to a couple of metres. Scientists know one day this bulging, molten lava will burst through the Earth's crust – it's just a question of when.

before his reign begins.. making his selection of cabinet members...
does that not give you some premonition of the future?

Having his KIDS run his business in a BLIND trust..
then having Ivanka at the political meeting with the Japanese rep..
does that not seem... shady??

All politicians are ****ing shady... infact that is like a compliment or total under evaluation of how scummy they are. Shady would not be suffice to describe the rotting stench coming from their good for nothing bones...

All politicians are scum. It's just by how much scum they are :)

They are like dirty diapers you need to change them out FREQUENTLY ... the sooner the better! :)

Not shady at all to me. The kids running his business just makes sense. I mean, who else? He's the President elect. The new President should not have to worry about purely financial problems. He's got a country to run.

Maybe the point was missed….

If someone that has a lot of big business… and they can also push policy one way or the other.. or make new policy that might help their business… or hurt their competition. That would be a conflict of interest.

So.. the new president should put all his business into a BLIND trust… and a BLND trust makes sure person cannot know what the business is doing or make any decisions in that business for the term as president. This is to separate the business and government pressures.

Putting his kids in charge.. IS NOT blind.. is he NOT going to talk to them during the whole 4 yrs? Or they cannot talk to him? That is very hard to believe they will not have some talks that MIGHT give them some insight and cause to be an unfair advantage. Intentionally or unintentionally…

And now.. we see Ivanka is sitting in a political meeting with Japanese government meeting…

it is very shady!

I have to say that regardless of whether or not the Hamilton situation was "intentionally" created (I'm willing to assume it was a Trumpian gesture of "look how rich I am to send you to this sellout show about the Founding Fathers while you're in NYC" with zero knowledge of the show itself) it did indeed come at a great time to take attention away from the other important stories. This kind of media diversion is nothing new in politics, of course, but...

"Here are a few news stories that broke between the time I left work a little early on Friday afternoon and the time my toddler went down for his midday nap on Saturday:

*Foreign diplomats are booking rooms at Donald Trump’s hotel in Washington, DCbecause they believe that directly putting money in the pocket of the President-elect of the United States will serve as a bribe that helps them curry favor with him and influence foreign policy.

Congress’s phones got jammed by citizens calling in and asking members to do something about Donald Trump’s financial conflicts of interest.

*Donald Trump paid $21 million to former students of his fake university who he allegedly defrauded.

*Donald Trump got into a Twitter war with the cast of Hamilton.

The Hamilton blow-up — because it’s easy to understand, bizarre, and connects with a pop culture phenomenon — has naturally ended up getting the bulk of the news pickup."

(By the way, for a good laugh check out #nameaPencemusical on Twitter. The #boycotthamilton response, on the other hand, has been a complete wash since the show is sold out until next August lol.)
