Help Press reader is available now!

Press reader is now available to start, it first updates itself and then you can start downloading newspapers from around the globle. The two Swedish newspapers I have looked at so far looks really nice. Just like the real version, but smaller - headlines are marked in blue, click them and you get fullscreen access to just that article.

Nice!

Yearh, I just saw that too yesterday. It seems really cool!
But are they really free? I mean, I'm able to download some Danish newspapers that cost money if I want to view them on their website..

I am not real sure. Under settings you can choose to verify and sign up for an account. So it seems like you might have to pay somehow as the website mentioned subscription costs somewhere. But so far I have been able to read the three newspapers I have downloaded so far. My guess is that that the application will expire eventually ...

Just downloaded the english 'Daily Mail' and it's quite a nifty feature. I didn't register an account nor authorise my app and it let me download for (i'm assuming) free. Perhaps they're allowing a free trial?

Checked the website and browsed through some of the subscription packages and it looks as though they charge

Has been working for a while actually. The first 4 (or was it 7?) newspaper is free. After that you will have to register on a website in order to download more.

Not a bad app at all. I like that you can see the print version for discussing with people who don't have the electronic edition, but you can also read the articles in a form-factor-friendly format as well. I wish the font were bigger and it had the ability to choose font and background color.

For me, PressReader was part of the bundle of apps I received when my Galaxy S updated to Froyo/2.2. Apparently, it's by a company called NewspaperDirect and has something to do with PressDisplay.com. Sorry, that's about all I can tell you. Maybe others can chime in with some more help.

Same with me ^^

Came preinstalled when I upgraded to Froyo, however it was "unavailable" for some time.

Shame it doesn't offer The Sun
