Prevent dialing from handsfree

When I have my bluetooth hands free conected to the phone and the hands free turned on I can press a button on the hands free and the phone start dialing the last number I dialed. Is there a way to prevent this from happening without turning off the handsfree. I keep accidentally touching the button and thereby calling people unintentionally.

Most of the hands-free units that I have used will generate a new dial request with a one second or less press and will re-dial the last person dialed when you press for greater then two seconds.

Yes and this is what i want to avoid, but how do I prevent the hands-free from ever dialing out?
