Help Prevent screen from turning black

When I am on the phone (HTC Rezound/Verizon), the screen automatically turns black, almost immediately, so I have to keep hitting the power button on top so I can use the keyboard.

How can I prevent this from happening?

That is due to a sensor on phone. You should be able to turn screen on once during call and use keyboard. But, if you get too close to the sensor it will think it's against your face and turn back off.

Not sure but I *think* there is a setting that controls that behavior. I haven't had my Rezound on for a awhile.

The issue is your proximity sensor... If you are rooted, look in the Play Store for Rezound Prox Sensor Calibrator, if your are not rooted try a factory default, if all that fails the sensor is defective.
