Price for UK?

so the question is, is it price of phone + 17.5% and THEN + 6.5%, or is it price of phone + 24%? I bet it'll be the former.

thing iiiiis... it says 6.5% may apply to SOME items in your order, which makes me think it's either the phone or the charger, but not both. I'm hoping it's just the charger. Maybe I'll wait a week and hope someone that has bought will post here and let us know the complete cost including all this malarky.

Good point about the charger. Shipping might be cheaper though....

Urgh. I wish there was some firm information on when they'll open a UK shop. That way I'll make a decision based on my impatience.

Or maybe people'll be selling them on eBay who'll tick the 'gift' box for me ;)

Dont forget that in the USA you still need to add state and sometimes local taxes onto your order.

California which is the highest is on or just over 10%.

The taxes depend on your state.

So $529 will never be the base price, even in the USA.

And there is no way that the N1 will be

Heres what i found.

Neuxs One specs: quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE triband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA at 2100/1700/900 MHz with HSDPA up to 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA up to 2 Mbps

The Nexus One's antenna supports four GSM radio frequencies (850/900/1800/1900) and three 3G bands (bands 1, 4, and 8)

UK operators
all 3g frequencies are in the 2-2.1Ghz band.

downlink...

2110-2125 3
2125-2135 o2
2135-2150 voda
2150-2160 t-mobile
2160-2170 orange

So yeah looks like it will work on uk networks with 3g as well.

Hi.. I live in India. I plan to get an unlocked Nexus One thru my friend who's in Europe. I heard about the Nexus One not functioning with AT&T 3G in the US and so was a bit concerned. I did read your post but I'd like to clear my doubts once again, at the risk of seeming stupid, before I actually ask my friend to buy one for me. Better safe than sorry!

We have state owned telecom companies who have been allocated spectrum and currently running the 3G service in the range of 2100MHz-2110MHz downlink. After many delays the 3G spectrum auctions(for the private telecom service providers) in India will finally be conducted in Feb'10. Let me quote from the India 3G auction guidelines doc- "The bidders can bid for one block of 2 * 5MHz each for 3G telecom services in the 2.1 GHz band (2110MHz-2170MHz for downlink and 1920MHz-1980MHz for uplink) in a telecom service area". Basically the overall 3G spectrum range available in India is between 2100MHz-2170MHz downlink.

My question is if I do get the Nexus One unlocked from Europe now will it work on State owned and/or private telecom providers who will start their 3G services later in the year?
