It's just popular.court filings reveal that pre-orders for this poster child for Android 4 tablets (and it does look great) total a whopping 2,000 units as of a month ago, it’s kind of a letdown. That and 80,000 going to retailers worldwide

Honestly, I don't know. I just saw it recommended on XDA to do a reset that way whenever there's an update. It can't hurt since you don't lose anything.no, this is the first im hearing of the hole .. what does it do beyond what a "factory reset" might do?

guys at some point we have to call a spade a spade lol. I love my prime, even with its faults
gmail doesnt work, browser crashes constantly, no gps, wifi signal typical issues, etc etc
but i still use it, and love it.
But there is no way this thing is so popular that it cant be held in stock for long. Look at this article, claiming only 2000 were preordered + 80k in shipments:
Asus Announces A Ridiculous Solution For Its Flawed Transformer Prime Android Tablet | TechCrunch
im not claiming its true, just saying there is no way 11tybillion of these things are being sold, and you cant find it anywhere. Its more likely retailers are sick of returns/exchanges and just want to wait for a better product from asus
its also possible, but not likely, asus has stopped new shipments.
