Accessories Printing from the Laptop dock

Do you have to have a post script printer to print from the laptop dock? I found an app for my Canon printer but it only allows me to print PDF documents and photo's from my Atrix (whether it is docked or not). FYI this app also allows me to scan to the Atrix.

If the only way to print is with a post script printer - how was your experience with the laptop dock and the post script printer? Do you have full functionality of the printer?

I can print word, PDF, excel, emails, etc. from the mobile view. I have to print to PDF in webtop view, then go to the mobile window. Open Quick Office and send to our printer. Works really well. We have a HP 7510 Photosmart printer. I use their HP app for printing.
