I am not too good in algorithms, so looking for someone who can help me to understand the functionality of this app and possible algorithms used.

Looking at the screen, maybe it's just some simple arithmetic?
Just a guess ... ENTRY FEE + ADDED MONEY x NUMBER OF PLAYERS - PAYOUTS = PRIZE FUND.

Of course I don't know this app, so can't help any more than that.
