Help Prob w/ autocorrect - changes "w/" to "w//"

This sounds crazy, but for some reason, my razr maxx is automatically correcting me anytime I type "w/" (as in "went to movie w/friend") and changing it to "w//" (as in "went to movie w//friend"). It does not give me any options or words to chose from like I usually get to change or correct words, and I cannot find anywhere that allows me to adjust or correct the autocorrect! When I go to settings, language & keyboard settings, user dictionary, it says I do not have any words in the user dictionary. I tried adding "w/" as a word, and this did not change anything. It is the weirdest thing, and soooooo annoying! Has anyone else had this problem? Or have any suggestions to make it go away??? Thanks!

I'm so disappointed that there have been no replies or suggestions! It seems to be in the Swype system because even here, in my browser, if I type w/, it automatically types w//. I specifically deleted all saved words and that didn't help either. *sigh*

I just tried, and that doesn't happen to me.... sounds wonky.

Try reinstalling swype?
