Hello everyone,
Not sure if any of you have seen this before, but when I take pictures, sometimes they are automatically saved (setting to save to my sd card is in place) and sometimes they are not saved unless I actually view the picture i took (there is a little thumbnail of it along the bottom of the screen towards the left). In other words:
Case 1 (good):
I open the camera app, take a picture, hit the back button to exit out of it. I go into the gallery and the picture is there. This is good and what I want.
Case 2 (problem):
Like before, I open the camera app, take a picture, hit the back button to exit out of camera and no picture is saved (I looked everywhere including on the device itself as I am set up to save on my sd card). However, if I view the thumbnail before exiting, I have never noticed a problem.
This is seemingly random. There must be a method to the madness but I can't seem to put my finger and make sense out of it. I cannot replicate the issue at will (though I suspect if I could, then I would understand what is happening!).
I sometimes (often) end up losing great pics because of this and it is a little irritating.
Either I am mis-understanding how something is supposed to work here or there is just something wrong. Are there settings that i can play with for this? I couldn't find anything obvious or any other posts anywhere demonstrating a similar problem. I did see one on a droid x forum but I am not allowed to post a link as I am too new a user apparently.
Android version: 4.0.4.
Hope this is clear. If not, please feel free to ask questions if you are able to help.
Appreciate your time,
Drew.
