Help problem charging after froyo update

so I updated through LG's update tool last Wednesday. ever since, my phone has refused to charge through some chargers that worked previously, but not all. it charges if i plug it into the wall charger that came with the phone, and the USB port that's in my car dashboard, and the ports on the 2 computers ive tried. however, it wont work with my iPod charger or the USB charger that plugs into my car cigarette lighter.

i'm quite surprised, since it was definitely after the update. I charged it in my car on the way to work, updated it there, and it wouldn't charge on the way home. How could the update do this, and how to fix it?

I am going to make a couple of special cords just for the car. All you have to do is cut the cord open and short the white and green to each other. I confirmed this by using a volt meter on an official LG brand charger. Then I'm going to put a small piece of red heat shrink on the end, as a warning, so that they never get plugged into a PC by mistake.

ok I just got out of live chat with an LG support agent. told him the whole problem, he said that he notified the department in charge and they are going to fix it with a software update, which would be released when it is available, but they didn't know when that would be. kinda kicking myself that I forgot to copy and paste the convo, but at least they're working on a fix. hopefully it won't take 6 months like it took to get Froyo after the initial promise.
