Help Problem entering data in ICS

This is not about my Tbolt slowing down. My big problem is entering info into my programs. Prior to ICS, I typed info directly into the space provided by the program. Since the ICS update, whenever I add info, I get a pop-up window with either a "Done" or "Next" button to tap. This makes it extremely difficult to format my entries in Portrait mode and in Landscape, I can't see what I'm typing. My question is, Does anyone know if it's possible to shut off this pop-up entry window and how to do it.

Can you post a screenshot showing what you're seeing? That might help.

I got some help from an app that I use. It was the keyboard. I am using Smart Keyboard Pro. Somehow one of the settings changed, "Portrait Full Screen". When reset back to false, all is well.
