Help Problem in saving pictures from Facebook.

Hi all.
I have recently upgraded my phone from Galaxy S1 to S3.

But in the new phone, I am unable save pictures from Facebook.

In my older phone, when I press and hold onto a picture a menu displays prompting me to save. It is accompanied by haptic touch. But in the new phone the haptic touch signal does occur but nothing prompts, no menu displays.

These pictures I see have arrows on both sides, left and right and one can click them to see the next or previous picture.

This is an extremely annoying feature for me as I am a very frequent user of Facebook and often save lots of pictures during browsing daily.

The browser otherwise is okay and I can save pictures from other websites.

I actually don't have that option :o

What I have been doing is a bit more tedious but works for me. I use the app Picsay to edit/touch up photos. I have found that if I use the share option in the fb app I can share the photo to pi say and then save it to my phone/tablet

Thanks to all kind folks for their help.

I am primarily using the m. Facebook page but I also have the app. It's the same problem with both.

However with the app, the Share option is available which I can use to send it to my Google drive and then download it from there.

However I miss my old phone Samsung Galaxy S1 which had a direct save option and many more options upon press-hold-haptic-touch.

In that old phone there was also a View option which could then be zoomed in. And all options were available in the browser, m..Facebook page without the need to open the dedicated fb app. Moreover the FB app also had the save options

I upgraded to a Galaxy 3 yesterday amid great enthusiasm.....

I think you're missing a step. You have to open the picture (tap on it) before you can save it.

After you've done that, hit the menu and choose 'save'.

Hope that did the trick :) I'm talking about the app by the way.
