Problem installing non market apps

I recently updated my htc desire to gingerbread.I want to install apps, but when i try to install then manually,it opens the installation process but i can't click the Install option.i can click cancel, but not install.i tried it with many apps, same result.but apps from market can be installed properly.i enabled the unknown sources option, but still same problem.there doesn't seem to be any screen problems though.please suggest a solution

if it wasnt it wouldn't even open the installation.its just that the option doesn't work.these r apps like angry birds, new Android market, getjar.etc
all work fine with gingerbread

If its just angry birds, why dont you just download from market? The Android market also doesnt really need to be installed, it should update itself.

but there r apps like getjar etc which r not on market and i want to install manually but i can't understand y the option doesn't work?
also, the market doesn't update.its still on 2.3.4 so i tried updating manually and that's when i found the problem
its with all apps
