Help problem moving data to transformer from windows computer

ericDylan

I am trying to move some videos to my trasnformer so i connected it to my computer with the usb cord.

I find the trasnformer under my computer open it up, then find my videos and drag them over to the transformer and windows explorer stops "responding" and restarts.

am i missing something? is there something i need to mount or some setting to turn on to move data or am i just SOL?

It isn't a computer issue I have two other android devices that work perfectly fine and a nook and an iPod (though I concede that there is a difference with the iPod) that also work. I also have a flash drive, which is what the transformer is basically supposed to mount as correct? And the flash drive works...

I just do not understand what could cause this.

Yes and all the files are empty... and when i click on 'computer' it shows up as a portable media device and I click on that and 'device storage is my only option to click on and then I am looks at all the folders on the transformer, but they are empty.

Check the drivers in the device manager and try a different cable is a place to start but, without seeing it, it's hard to say beyond that.

i just tried it on my transformer and as soon as i plugged it into the PC it opened up a window asking what i wanted to do i pressed open window to view files and then i could drag and drop with no problems it was connected to the keyboard thought i am not sure if it will be the same with just the pad.

Try it on a different computer to confirm whether or not it is a TF problem or a computer problem. Just because your computer works fine with other devices doesn't mean that it knows what to do with a TF.

Also, maybe a long shot but...Try another USB slot on your computer?

i tired another computer and, after the drivers installed, was working.

When i went back to the original computer, i found out that the files are not empty (the icons of the files were empty and i am used to the file icons having things in them and on top of that the folder i did check was empty, but they are not all that way) and i can transfer pictures no problem.

the problem arises when i try to transfer itunes videos.
They are .m4v files and when i try to transfer them, that is when exploer stops responding and restarts.

the problem also occurs with .mpg files and
