Root Problem rooting my admire 2.3.6

I have a samung admire with 2.3.6, I have tried several ways to root and it has been impossible. The phone reboots and goes normal, but all the programs show the error:


"segmentation fault app_process /dev....
cannot create /data/local.propt: permission denied
remount failed: Operation not permitted.
.....
"


others programs display:

error: read-only filesystem


Help me please.....

I'm right there with you. Just got a replacement Admire and have had no success rooting. Oneclick worked great with my old one and I haven't been able to find a solution. Phone is complete garbage with all the bloatware. Can anyone please help a newb with 2.3.6?
