Problem sending DTMF tones from a contact - too fast

I'm trying to create a Contact entry to call my home voicemail and then automatically enter my access code, etc. I've been able to do this on previous (non-Android) cell phones with no problem.

The problem is: on my new Droid Bionic the DTMF tones get sent in such a rapid-fire burst that my voicemail system won't recognize them properly.

I'm trying to figure out a way to slow down the speed of the tone transmission. Or maybe there's a replacement dialer app that will let me adjust the speed?

I've seen posts about this same issue here & elsewhere, but unfortunately I've never seen a viable solution.

This is driving me crazy. Any info or advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks. Yes, I've already tried inserting a pause in between each number, but that seems to be too slow for my voicemail system to deal with. I think pause = 1 second.

Very frustrating.

Stupid me:o, I probably should have pointed you here first. Go into you dialer, then to settings. There you can set the DTMF length.

No, you're not stupid at all - I am.

It turns out my problem had nothing to do with the tones. Rather, it was a missing # that needed to be entered after my home phone number.

When I exported my contacts from my old phone and imported them into my Google account, it must've somehow stripped out the # sign from that contact.

Boy, is my face red!

All's well that ends well - thanks for your help.

Glad you're all set. Enjoy. Sometimes we all have brain cramps.
