problem sending text messages

All of a sudden for the last two wks or so its taking forever for my texts to go through if at all... I've powered down and also dialed *228 to update.. VZW. anyone have similar problems?? Its really annoying
 
I feel your pain. I've been dealing with the same problem on and off for a couple months now. I always have to turn airplane mode on and off to get the text to send. I was not having the issue the first month or so with the phone but then gradually it started happening more and more. Then it went away for a couple weeks but now it's been back for the last 2 weeks. I've gotten tired of going in to Verizon and they don't seem to have an answer besides hard resetting my phone. I've also noticed that when texts do send, right before they send, an icon will flash in my notification bar but it's too fast to identify what icon it is.
 
Lol I've seen the icon that flashes, its just a black rectangle with a squiggly line through it. . as far as the texting goes, its really very annoying
 
Doesn't that icon have to do with charging the phone? I never noticed it when the phone was still new and I didn't have the texting problem...I'll try and see if the problem is still around in safe mode
