Help Problem Streaming Audio

Hello all, I'm new here and seeking advice on a problem I'm experiencing with my new LG Spirit.

The problem is with my NPR and TuneIn radio apps. On my old LG Optimus M+ I could open up TuneIn or NPR and begin streaming a program. Then, I could click out of that app and browse the internet, or just do anything else on the phone while the streaming continued and the app ran in the background. However, on the LG Spirit, I can't seem to do this. To stream, it looks like I must have the NPR or TuneIn app opened. I can't exit out and go the the phones home screen or else the audio will stop. I don't have juice defender on and all my data is enabled.

How do I fix this?

If you mean Really EXIT OUT where it (TuneIn) asks if you're sure, then That kills my TuneIn too. But yes, you Should Be Able to leave the station/App running and go do other stuff. Just don't exit all the way out of TI.

I will say that now and then, for some reason my TI when I am surfing just kills itself, the App stays open, the station page just closes. I just reopen/restart it. Doesn't happen that often.

If you are leaving the station/App open and it's dying when you go to surf, I'd uninstall TI and reinstall it. I had that happen with TI on my IPud and a uninstall/reinstall fixed it.

Try what Bruce said in the quote above. TuneIn works fine for me while surfing the web or other things.

I don't exit TI all the way with the back button, I simply just hit the home button to leave it running then I do other things on the phone.

I don't exit out completely, I just leave the app and browse the web. In the past I have experienced TuneIn randomly shutting down, but with this new phone it pretty consistently turns off the stream 30 seconds to a minute after I leave the app.

I use the app and do other things with no problem. Check the settings in TIR you might have something set to stop the stream after the app is closed out. I usually just hit the home button to go to something else and keep it streaming. also might be that you don't have the widget on your desktop. that might be what keeps the app streaming.

I switched from those apps to winamp. Works good. Shoutcast steaming.
