Problem transfering vids to laptop

So,I hook up my phone to my laptop and when I try to move the vids on my phone to the laptop,they're in mp4 format & will only play the audio,there's no actual video.Wtf is going on?

You seem to be missing the video codec on your PC that matches your vids. The mp4 file is just a container, the contents for audio and video are separate within it, and an mp4 can contain all sorts of different codecs. Think of it as a file containing 2 other files.

I already tried that player.It didn't work.It still just played audio,no video.

Maybe the file got corrupted while you copied it. Try copying it again. Or use an alternative transfer method. Personally, I like to transfer files using MyPhoneExplorer (available in the market and will give you a link for the PC exe file). Because USB mounting can be flaky sometimes. Especially for root users who flash custom kernels.
