Problem Updating Galaxy S2

Hello I have a problem with updating my Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100; firstly a bit of back information:

I cannot connect USB to the phone as there is a problem with the connection port at the bottom of the phone; the phone was sent away and returned to me with no fix. I hadn't used the phone since 2012 and had thought I lost it until I found it last week; now I have an external battery charger which I use to charge the phone as I cannot use the USB charger.

Now I cannot update the phone as I get a message saying there is no update available; the current details are:

Android Version: 2.4.5
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKI8-CL616395root@dell149 #2
Build number: GINGERBREAD.XWKI8

Is it at all possible for me to update this phone? Or is there nothing which I can do..

Most phones designed for Froyo or Gingerbread weren't updated to ICS. If you paid anything for the "Repair", though, I'd contact them and find out how they're going to actually repair it this time - because they'd have to.
