Help Problem w/ apps

I've been trying to use apps to keep track of my gas mileage and whatnot. So far, I've used "Mileage" and "GasRecord". Both mess up every time I put in my info and calculate things like .82 mpg, 3.8 mpg, etc. First it happened with Mileage, and I thought it was maybe just an app bug, even though it works perfectly on my friend's DX. So I tried GasRecord and it's doing the same thing.

I've double, triple and quadruple checked that I'm putting the info in the right fields. Can anyone else verify this is happening on their phone too?

Man I really can't figure this out.. uninstalled/reinstalled apps, had two other people input the data to see if I was doing it wrong.. apps are still calculating MPG completely wrong. I'm not even sure how it's doing it because no matter what I do with the data, I can't get the number it's getting.
