Problem when trying to backup SD Card data

Hi,

I put my Android 2.2 phone in Mass storage mode to back up my SD card on my PC through a USB cable. My PC is running WinXP Prof.

Many folders got copy/pasted but I kept on getting the error "Cannot Remove folder....file name or extension is too long" ??!!

How do I work around this? Any idea?

Try copying a little bit at a time till you get to where that problem file is so you can possibly just skip it if its not really all that important or just get SWIftp (an ftp server for android) from the android market and use that to copy all the files off your sdcard. Be sure you set the directory to the sdcard and use wifi as that will be much faster.
