Help Problem wiht Battery after upgrading Android 2.3 Gingerbread

Dear Friends,

Can anyone share with me, I am using HTC Desire. I have a problem with my battery after upgrading the Android 2.3 gingerbread. Also I wonder the following issues.

a) After the Android 2.3 gingerbread (When I bought it was Android 2.2), I found nothing different in term of applications as well as appearance.

b) After upgrading from Android 2.2 to 2.3 gingerbread, the battery life is shorter than before.
